Reports 2009

11th April Foxhall Tournament

We are just getting better and better. We were by far the best team.

18th April South Shore

What a goal Will Cross and welcome back onto the field Will Hunt.

Two good team performances. South Shore were a good side and a draw in the first match was a fair result.  Both sides started off a little slow but the second half was a cracker and I do feel we just edged the match overall but it is all about playing as a team. Well done.

Good passing in the second game, which enabled chances for strikers and mid-field players.  Although we started the a little slowly in the second game, we scored within seconds to take the lead again. Good team work, passing and goals. We did not look like surrendering the lead and we deserved the win.

Foxhall 25th April

Excellent match from both teams, some fabulous individual performances but overall mega teams performance.

Team on first battled hard and forced Foxhall goalie to make plenty of fantastic saves, man-of-match Matthew Cholmondeley coming close many times and dazzled spectators with his silky skills, were very solid and dealt with Foxhall well,  some excellent saves from Tom and again showed no fear, yet another clean sheet. 0-0

Team on next, very fast start, troubling Foxhall early on, Goals from Keelan and a goal from the centre-circle from Eddie (WOW!!). Corners from Keelan were excellent and but unfortunately for Foxhall an own-goal came from a stinger of a corner. Tireless performance from Jack Galloway and well deserved man-of-match. Won 3-0

Keep it going Dynamos, you are great team and you all play with the passion and determination that makes me proud.

Spirit of Youth 2nd May

I must firstly say that Spirit of Youth(SOY) have improved greatly and well done to their players and coaching team.  Only 11 players available this week as some were away-lucky monkeys!!

Team on first, we played well considering the length of the grass, we controlled much of the game and gave SOY goalkeeper a very busy game, he made countless saves, Tom on the other hand had a quiet games. Jack Fleetwood controlled the defence and is improving every game. The team did everything but score, but fair play to SOY's resiliance. 0-0

Team on Second, good solid start and  chased the ball down well. SOY started well and had their fair share of chances in the first half, but an excellent poach by Jack Galloway keep his goal tally close to Keelan, 1-0.  Second half saw a bullish performance by Dynamos, Will Cross making some excellent runs and showing how talented he is, Will hit the upper-right twice from his superb corners. Won 1-0.

Tom 4th clean sheet in a row, well done to you and the defenders, Man-of Match Chris Sargent-did not put a foot wrong all match.

Looking forward to  2 weeks training now, and will get us all ready for matches ahead, Rememmber 3 W's team. WIN THE BALL,  WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO AND WHERE ARE YOU GONNA PUT IT!!

  AFC BLACKPOOL 23rd MAY

Two excellent matches today and the arrival of 2 new players to Blackpool Rangers for their first match. Nicolas Hartley and Ryan Haydock, who both played very well considering they were debutants.

Team that played Second raced into a comfortable 2-0 lead at half time with some crisp passing and solid defending. AFC came right back into the match by scoring 2 quick goals to level the match. An edgey Dynamos came strong again and regained the lead 3-2 until AFC leveling the match. An excellent game which could have gone either way 3-3.

First game saw some players play in different positions  and we were very good, a tense match saw an extremely great goal from a defender/ well a striker really but had some time in defence. Some great passing and high work-ethic saw a  1-0 win, well played Dynamos.

I am sure that Dynamos and AFC will have some titanic battles next season in the competitive league and Dynamos will be looking forward to them.

BJFF 30th MAY

Welcome to debutant Arran Williams and what a game to start life at Blackpool Rangers. On a lovely hot sunny day (perfect for my tan) we looked a lttle dazed. Unfortunately a couple of players missing due to injury, but we managed to turn 15 players out.

I must give credit to BJFF as their 2 forwards in both games played excellent, I feel it was just one those days where everything we did or attempted went wrong and we did not play like the DYNAMOS that we are.

But hey-ho the results were 5-2 and 7-1 losses and our heaviest defeats to date, I am sure we will never allow this to happen again and we will be a stronger /wiser team for it.

I have so much faith in you DYTNAMOS and knnow we will thrive as a fantastic set of friends and footballers

Fleetwood Gym Tournament 7th June

What a difference a week makes. Teams nearlly at full strength and every players eager and ready to be first to every ball and ready to beat Barcelona. WOW you were all AWESOME!!

Team 1 never conceded until the final of the plate and team 2 only conceded 1 goal in the qualifying groups and conceded 1 in the semi-finals.  Both teams played with shear passion and determination and the Blackpool Rangers badge was well-proud of you all. A first goal for Nicolas Hartley saw off BJFF and Will Cross/James Ashton never let them have a sniff at goal, what a difference a week makes. Team 2 never looked like losing all day as well, they were hard-working and supported each other very well.

Both teams progressed well through to semi-finals with comfortable wins and both went to peanlties in semis, Team 1 won and Team 2 lost, but were incredibley unlucky, those penalties will go soon guys just keep trying.

Team 1  played Barrowford Celtic and unfortunately got off to a bad start going 2-0 down, but the second half was a Dynamos and a great goal saw us close the gap, so so so close to leveling it. Well done to Barrow ford Celtic, but boy we were so close to cliniching the match.

Many thanks to the players/parents/coaches and supporters who made the day fun and successful.       Can't wait for next seasons competitive league 'DYNAMOS ARE READY!!!!!!!!!!

SPIRIT of YOUTH 20h JUNE

Many thanks to Anchorshome Primary School for allowing us to fullfil our fixture. Blackpool Rangers Dynamos met a tough Spirt side, from Spirit a few times now they always defend very well and give few chances away.

Team 1 had a tough first half although coming close to breaking the dead-lock, but our goalkeeper was fairly quiet. Second half saw the dead-lock broken with goals from Matthew Cholmondeley, 2 from Jack Galloway and a screamer from Will Cross (As good as Stuart Pearce!), game eventually finishing 4-0 to Dynamos, excellent!.

Team 2 appeared to control the match very well and again Spirit we difficult to break down. This game saw some ecxellent passing and a thoroughly great team performnce.  Goals from Edward Peill, James Ashton and Keelan Kerrigan saw again 4-0 Dynamo win.

The thing that impressed me the most was our passing and movement, some of us just need to shout for the ball more and not be so shy. Homework for next few weeks practice with your weaker foot passing and shooting.  Very proud of you Dynamos and feel everyone is gelling perfectly.

SOUTH  SHORE  27th  JUNE

Team 1 started very brightly on a very hot-humid day which saw some rain hoo-ray! The game was very tight and some good tackling was seen, with few chances on goal.  Mid-first half saw Jack Clarke open the scoring with a great goal, South Shore level with a decent shot although a strange bounce.

Second half things were still very tight, South Shore scored a deflection which was so unfortunate for us as we had our chances. As the Dynamos pushed for a late equaliser which so easily could have come. South Shore scored their Third goal, unfortunate as we played very well and had our chances.

Team 2 we ready and eager to get stuck-in, they were like untamed Lions.  We started very well and pressed early on for an early break-through. A goal from Jack Galloway saw Dynamos take a 1-0 lead. 1-0 at half-time and felt we needed another goal to give us some breathing space.

That goal came from Will Cross another thunderbolt, Will seems to be enjoying his roaming role at moment. Jack Galloway pushed hard up-front in th Second half and could have scored 3-4 more but added another, he played very well today. Jack Fleetwood finished our goals for the day, giving Dynamos a 4-0 win, superb.

It was excellent today to see our defenders play so well, Ben in goal finished the day very strong and will thrive from his performance.

Always remember you guys are an excellent team and I believe in you, we need to be 'FIRST TO THE BALL' and if we go behind in a match keep your heads are start bettling 'BELIEVE IN YOURSELVES'

Mini-Friendly Tournament held @ Thornton JFC 4th July

A mini-friendly tournament held at Thornton JFC on a fabulous hot sunny day. The teams that were involved were 2 teams from Blackpool Rangers, 2 teams from Thornton, 1 team from Lytham, 2 teams from AFC Blackpool and 2 teams from Kirkham.

The day was fantastic and very enjoyable, each team played each other over 10 min matches and spaced 5 with a 5 minute gap in between and guess what, every game when to schedule. This is down to the Mangers/Coaches from each team who ensured things ran like clock-work and parents/palyers.

Many thanks to Thornton JFC - Colin for allowing us to use the facilities, also to the 2 referees Jake Ashton and Sam Bury, you were excellent and I am sure you were shattered when you got home. Many thanks to the players and parents who were there, no falling-out and the atmosphere was fab.

Ahuge huge thank you to Roly Cross for organising managing to get sponsorship from C-CABS, who very kindly sponsored the trophies which were HUGE!!!

Both Dynamo teams had a good start to the day with some impressive matches and good wins, mid-matches we had a light lull, but as usual our Effort and Win-The-Ball attitude enabled both teams to finish with wins. The focus was not winning matches/trophies on the day, it was to play football and competing, which we certainley did. Some fabulous football from all of the teams and I am sure the U9's Poulton District League/Coulton Cup will be very high standard/competitive football.. CAN'T WAIT!!!

No more matches now Dynamos, training for 2 weeks and then PARTY/DISCO on the 18th July and kit-presentation, all players/parents/coaches, can't wait to see you there and look forward to having a few Cokes and a good get-together.

AFC BLACKPOOL 5th Sept

We arrived at AFC Blackpool's ground to be welcomed by rain and wind. We have had some very good games against AFC Blackpool recently and we knew we were in for a tough couple of games. Kevin as always greeted us in a happy go lucky manner which is greatly appreciated.

The first match started as expected with AFC Blackpool playing some very good attacking football with Dynamos defending in their own half. AFC were persistent but were unable to get into the penalty area and were forced to go wide or take long range shots by the midfield and defenders. After ten minutes Dynamos settled down and re-organised to take advantage of the space available.  This resulted in attacking chances for both sides and Dynamos finishing stronger. Dynamos started the second half where they left off and within the first minute scored the first goal of the game. Good goal Callum after a good through ball by Nick. Dynamos dominated the second half with more half chances and were eventually rewarded with a second individual goal scored by Jack C. We contained AFC Blackpool although in the last few minutes Tom made some match winnings saves which kept us on our toes. A good team performance against a well organised side. The game ended 2 - 0 to Dynamos.

The second match started badly with AFC Blackpool taking an early lead with a well worked move and a good shot. This proved to be a quick wake up call for Dynamos and we started from the kick off much stronger. We did not find our rhytham early on and did not take advantage of a weaker AFC side. Eventually the ball broke free to a waiting Dynamo to slot the ball home from 10 metres by James P. The first half finished even (one each) although Dynamos should have been two or three up at half time. We started the second half even stronger with chance after chance going wide or their keeper making a save. It was only a matter of time before Dynamos would score. A free kick was given to Dynamos for handball outside the penalty area. Jack F stepped up and slotted it in the corner with a cool finish making it 2-1 to Dynamos. Jack G eventually got his reward and scored an individual goal slotting it past the keeper. Credit must be given to their keeper because if it was not for his saves the score would have been much higher. The game ended 3- 1 to Dynamos.

Very good team performances with two wins against a well trained and managed couple of teams. Dynamos were stronger and deserved both wins.
